Job Title: Finance Manager (X4 Positions)
Location:Yaounde, Centre, Cameroon

Reports into: Chief Financial Officer and Functionally to GM
Number of subordinates: 3 to 4
Job Type: Permanent

Job Objectives:

  • This position will play a key role in the organisation’s funding strategy and long-term financial security. The Finance Manager will collaborate with the executive management team to analyse department finances and develop budgets that will keep the company’s costs down
    Will be responsible for the financial health of the business unit/s, producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research and guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short termKey Responsibilities Areas:
  • Managing the preparation and publication of business unit financial documents
  • Collaborating with management on development and execution of funding strategies
  • Examining financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles
  • Providing and interpreting financial information
  • Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends
  • Analysing change and advising accordingly
  • Formulating strategic and long-term business plans
  • Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance
  • Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize/mitigate financial risk
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Managing the business unit financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
  • Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
  • Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
  • Managing budgets
  • Supervising staff
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
  • Contributing to the entity overall management and leadership by playing a proactive and
  • constructive part in the senior management team
  • Monitoring accounts, and preparing activity reports and financial forecasts
  • Investigating ways to improve profitability, and analysing markets for business opportunities, such as expansion, mergers or acquisitions

Requirements (Education and Experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting with strong administration and managerial skills
  • 5+ years’ experience in a financial management or similar position
  • Proven strategic planning experience at the management level
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and accounting package knowledge
  • Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication with good presentation skills
  • High level of self-discipline and highly motivated
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • An added advantage is ability to speak and write in French
